A psychedelic (5-MeO-DMT) desert trail for depression and addiction

Colorado river toad

The Sonoran desert toad or the 'Colorado river toad' is a special animal. It helps people in Mexico get rid of depression and addiction. At least that is assumed. The pad separates one of the most powerful psychedelics out in the world.

People in Mexico inhale 5-MeO-DMT from this toad. The substance is illegal in the US, but is seen as a cure for depression and addiction. Anxiety and psychoses are side effects of the substance.

Entheogenic 5-MeO-DMT

5-MeO-DMT or O-methyl-bufotenine is a psychedelic of the tryptamine class. It is found in a wide variety of plant species and is also secreted by the glands of at least one species of toad, the Colorado River toad. Like DMT and bufotenine, it is used as an entheogen in South America.
