Microdosing magic mushrooms or LSD can help people with ADHD, according to research conducted by the Department of Neuropsychology and Psychopharmacology at Maastricht University.

They reveal new data on the benefits of microdosing for people with the condition. According to the department, adults diagnosed with ADHD generally have lower levels of mindfulness.
The National Health Service (NHS) explains that most adults with the condition have problems concentrating and completing tasks, dealing with stress and feeling restless or impatient. However, the results of this new study showed that more than 80% of the nearly 250 participants reported having practiced mindfulness.

Research into psychedelics

In the study, people took small amounts of the non-hallucinogen repeatedly for four weeks psychedelics in, where their mindfulness and personality traits were measured. Trait mindfulness was increased and neuroticism was decreased after four weeks of microdosing (MD) compared to baseline. Using conventional medications and/or having comorbid diagnoses did not change the induced effects on mindfulness and personality traits after four weeks,” it adds.

It is estimated that there are a total of 2,6 million people in Britain with ADHD, as reported by ADHD UK. In 2019, PLOS One found that microdosing psychedelics can also help reduce depressive symptoms and stress while increasing focus. These are important results, but further research is certainly needed to confirm these findings.
