Cannabidiol (CBD) is a phytocannabinoid discovered in 1940. It is one of the 113 identified cannabinoids in cannabis plants and accounts for a maximum of 40% of the plant extract.
Unlike the more popular molecule, tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), CBD is completely non-psychoactive, which means that you do not feel "stoned" or "high". In fact, CBD counteracts the psychoactive properties of THC. In addition to the non-psychoactive properties of CBD, research has shown that it contains an enormous amount of antioxidant and neuroprotective properties that opens the doors to a variety of benefits for CBD health.
