Jelly beans; you know them. Colorful candies in all flavors you can imagine. At least all flavors? David Klein, the founder of the company Jelly Belly, now comes with a very special jelly bean. This is because the candy is injected with a variant with cannabis.

David Klein, who founded Jelly Belly in 1976, recently launched Spectrum Confections, which makes jelly beans with cannabidiol (CBD). Mr. Bean's new creation comes in 38 different flavors including strawberry cheesecake and pina colada. Each bean contains 10 milligrams of CBD. “The jelly bean is perfect for the right dose of CBD,” Klein told Cannabis Aficionado.

The CBD jelly beans are available in bulk quantities on the Spectrum Confections website, although the sweets were already sold out last Monday due to a real run on the candy. Klein has been involved in the candy trade since the 1970 years and sold the Jelly Belly trademark in 1980 to the jelly bean maker Herman Goelitz Candy Co., who changed the name to Jelly Belly Candy Co. Klein plays with the weed bean on the popular green panacea. CBD is seen as a huge growth market. Analysts at investment bank Cowen recently estimated that the US market for cannabidiol against 2025 could grow to 16 billion dollars.
