Blue hash remains a topic of discussion

Following earlier warnings, a new campaign has now been launched to make consumers and coffeeshops aware of the risks of contaminated cannabis products.
The campaign focuses on recognizing suspicious hash and preventing contaminated products from entering further circulation.

According to the initiators, it is important that consumers know what to look out for. Striking colors, an unusual texture, or a peculiar smell can be indications that a product is not what it seems.
Coffeeshops are also urged to immediately remove suspicious batches from sale and to take reports seriously. By sharing information more quickly, the organizations involved hope to minimize health risks as much as possible.
Why blue hash is getting so much attention
The concerns revolve primarily around the possible presence of synthetic cannabinoids. These substances can be much more potent than natural THC and, in some cases, lead to serious health problems.
Although not every suspect batch has the same composition yet, the recent situation shows, according to the sector, how important product safety and quality control are. Therefore, consumers are advised to be cautious with products that deviate from what they are normally used to.

With the new campaign, the organizations involved hope that consumers and coffeeshops will recognize and report suspicious products more quickly. In the coming period, it will be assessed whether additional education or measures are needed to further combat the spread of contaminated hash.
