WWE Hall of Famer Rob Van Dam to launch a cannabis brand in California. Grapefruit USA, Inc. has issued a press release announcing its exclusive partnership with Van Dam.
In the press release, the CEO of Grapefruit USA, Inc. Bradley J. Yourist explains why the collaboration fits within the brand. “Our industry has matured in recent years. This ensures effective product branding in the sector. There is a lot of competition.”
Cannabis brand RVD
Our strategic partnership with Rob Van Dam and his team is a natural match. Rob is a cannabis pioneer with a large and loyal following. Its cannabis brand, RVD, has an advantage that other cannabisproducts and fits into the new 'Cannabis 3.0' environment, which revolves around creating exciting and popular branded products based on cannabis and hemp.”
RVD has long been an advocate for marijuana use. During an appearance on the Foundation Radio podcast earlier this year, he revealed that peer pressure first started cannabis, but has never looked back. He names Jimmy Backlund, formerly known as Jimmy Del Ray in WWE, because he let him smoke his first joint.
Van Dam is certainly not the first wrestling icon in the cannabis industry. Fellow WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash recently teamed up with HYMAN Cannabis to launch the Jackknife strain and legendary boxer Mike Tyson launched a cannabis line inspired by Ric Flair earlier this year.
